Can't get my scope sighted in after installing GRT-III trigger

I've got a Crosman Nitro Venom with the supplied Center Point 3-9x32 scope. I was shooting about 2 inch groups at 25 yards with the stock trigger, which was nothing to brag about. So I decided to try the GRT-III scope from Charlie Da Tuna based on all the excellent reviews that I read. Now I literally can't hit the broad side of a barn. The gun is shooting about 30 inches high. I tried re-installing the scope, but that made no difference. I tried starting at 10ft from the target to sight in the scope. It shoots at 5 inches high at 10ft. I cannot adjust the elevation any more. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. By the way I was very careful when installing the new trigger not to jar the scope.

Check those scope mounts, possibly they are not a good fit for that scope. Sounds like either the scope needs shimming or the scope tube is bending in the mount.
