IZH 46M Match pistol by IZH-BaikalFrom AirgunArena![]()
Things I liked: Accuracy, Price, Quality, I tryed two other so called Target Pistols before I got the 46M And there is no comparison with the accuracy of this Pistol. Out of the Apx. 35 Airguns I own this is My Favorite. Things I would have changed: The only downside is having to shape the grips Yourself. But even this turns out to be a plus if done correctly. Things I liked: Accuracy, great tigger and easy pumping. Things I would have changed: Nothing. What others should know: I bought the Izzy as a trade up to my 1377c and am very happy with the gun. I shoot 10M in my basement and the Izzy is very accurate and a joy to shoot. I added a Walther MDS sight because of my old eyes and so far it has help to see the target. However, the sights on the Izzy are very good and easy to adjust and if my eye sight was better, I wouldn't need the red dot. I have not adjusted the trigger because it's so sweet. I have large hands and had to shave some wood off the bottom grip so my fingers weren't crushed when gripping the gun. It was an easy process to shape the grip for my hand. It took me a little time to get used to the loading of pellets because of my fat fingers compared to the 1377c with it's bolt breech. Great gun..... Things I liked: This is one of my favorite pistols. I liked it so much that I bought one for myself. Best thing about it is the superior accuracy and the ease of use. It has a nice light, smooth cocking arm. Great open sights, too. It happens to be one of my favorite 10-meter pistols to recommend to my customers. Workmanship and quality of the machining is there too. This Russian company produces an outstanding product. Things I would have changed: I would add a safety. Because there isn't one, you do have to be careful when it is cocked and loaded. The trigger is so light to the touch that you could easily misfire it. The other thing I would have changed would be the design or look of the bulky wood grip. I supposed it serves its purpose with the carved groove for your thumb but, well, I'm a woman and we like pretty things. What others should know: This is a great gun for the money. I would recommend this pistol to the novice or the professional. It is perfect for that target shooter to keep his edge in the off season. It is a must have. RWS 7.0-grain Hobby pellets gave great accuracy results. Well worth the wait if out of stock. Overall rating: ![]() Value for money: ![]() Accuracy: ![]()
Things I liked: The oistol appears to be very well made. The fit between metal parts is close as the wooden components of the grip. The lever is smooth in operation and the firing procedure is smooth and flawless as well. Things I would have changed: More detailed instruction manual needed. What others should know: Plan on spending time modifying the grip to fit your hand. I used a dremel tool to do mopst of the work and finished with some fine sandpaper. This is not an hour-long project, but will be a work-in-=progress for several weeks as the shooter adapts to using the pistol. Overall rating: ![]() Value for money: ![]() Accuracy: ![]()
