Pcsashooter, yes, I entered the Bronco in June and shot a 260 and won the lucky draw again. I came in third place but that was because you didn't enter the contest. Forst place went to an Anschutz and second went to a Big Cat or something like that. -CJr

Pcsashooter, I had a little trouble myself with the gift cards but all was worked out. I don't think PA is used to the eMatch awards. If you didn't, you should send Bill am email explaining how you got stiffed and I'll bet he can get it activated. After all, you earned it. -CJr

Pcsashooter, So sad to see you go! You're not supposed to quit, you're supposed to buy a new gun. :-)

Pcsashooter, Yeah, I looked up that gun. I was surprised to see it was a springer. -CJr

Pcsashooter, I have a friend who went through what BB is going through and he recovered ok. My friend was much worse off than BB is or was so there is much hope there. The problem is that it takes a very long time to recover from this.

When I shoot in the eMatch, I don't pick my best session for the month. I pick a day and time I'm going to shoot and I use that one session for my score no matter the outcome. I do this because it teaches me how to shoot in a real match under stress (and humility, and anger). Consequently, I end up not entering the best of scores, yet :-) I also count any tens that have even the slightest of doubt as nines. This way I push myself to be better. I'm not sure any of this is working to make me better but so far it's fun trying.

When the matches first started Bill said in the rules to pick a day and time and use that score. I don't see him saying that anymore but I liked the concept because of what it teaches as far as being close to a real match.

Bottom line is that the score itself is not so much the goal but a measure of how good I am and how much I am improving. This is a slow process, too.

It seems to me like 270 is a barrier to me. I bump up against it but can't get through. I think it's me mostly but could be the equipment. However, if was the equipment I'd be doing much worse.

I enjoy shooting the matches with you. Congratulations on your 2nd place finish. Some day I'm going to look up the rifle the 1st place guy used and see what that is. Maybe there's one in my future.

I still want to do open sights, offhand some day but right noy I'm lucky to hit the paper when I try. What a skill that is!!

pcsashooter, Congratulations! I also am amazed there aren't more shooters. At least we know how to beat out the Anschutz guy now :-) -
