Review this product
2 March 2009

Things I liked: The sights are great! The rear sight is green dots and the front is red. Hardly any plastic. (love that) showes great quality! I think only two plastic parts on the whole gun. I was hitting things like coke cans and glass bottles (braking them) from at least 35-40 yards EASY! (no scope) It has great power, goes through the fence like butter. I got the .22 cal and I use Predator pellets w/ the polymer tip and Predator Ultra Shock.
Things I would have changed: Maybe the two plastic parts! Other than that, nothing!
What others should know: I also have a Gamo Hunter Sport 1200 fps that I spent $200 on and a Benjamin Sheridan silver streak .20 cal (witch is a great gun also) the Avenger 1100 puts them to shame!

Things I liked: The wood to metal fit and finish is excellent. This gun looks, feels, and handles like a much more expensive rifle. The low price is no indication of the quality that you are getting. The fiber optic sights are excellent and the accuracy has been surprising. Cocking effort is quite easy and the double sided safety makes operation so smooth that my wife (who the gun was purchased for) was shooting like an old pro rather quickly.
Things I would have changed: The chamber is loose compared to my RWS 460. You have to point the barrel down in order to close the barrel to the receiver or the pellet's skirt will be crushed. I woiuld like to see a mount that allows the use of the Leaper's base that compensates for barrel droop.
What others should know: I used the UTG 11mm to Weaver mount and UTG 1" high see-thru rings to place my Center Point 3X9X40 scope on this pellet rifle. I could not see the excellent open sights because the bell on the scope blocked the view through the rings. This rifle dieseled and burned off the oils in the air chamber for about 200 pellets. It can be disconcerting to have an excellent group going and then a loud pop and the pellet hits much lower... caused by the burning oils. That kinda eases off after several hundered pellets. This rifle shoots right with my RWS 460 at 10 meters...frequently giving one hole groups. Both the Beeman FTS double gold pellets and the RWS pointed tip pellets gave the best accuracy. I have an excellent selection of pellets and I tried them all and those two were the best. You might want to get a pellet seater to make loading in the loose chamber a bit easier.

Things I liked: wow! the trigger is great ! powerful! ,looks great .shoots great! about 150 shots and its shooting dime size groups at 15yds already and its not all the way broke yet.i can't wait to see what this thing can do. shots through a 3/4 pine broad with no problem.my other rifles will not do that
Things I would have changed: nothing
What others should know: read the reviews of all the rifle you think you may like before you buy. i did a lot of reading of reviews on a lot of air rifles to see which one i wanted. well mendoza is the one.this is the real thing .small and med. game dose not have a chance with this rifle.it will do it part you just have to do yours.i have a crossman 2260 in 22,and crossman storm xt in 177.they do not hold a candle to this thing.

Things I liked: Balance, trigger, accuracy, power, stock and sights.
Things I would have changed: Muzzle break is little too small, I wish it was bigger.
What others should know: Totally blown away by the way this rifle shoots. Yes, the spring vibration has a kick, but this is a springer so you learn to adjust to it. I love this rifle and would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive but high quality air rifle. Also, my gun did not come with the sling swivel stud that appears in the photo. I confirmed it with PA that it "does not" come with it.

Things I liked: Excellent sights, good power, especially with heavy match pellets. I like the size and balance. Accuracy great, using the heavy pellets. I bought one of these for my Son in Law, six weeks ago and liked it so much I had to purchase one for myself as well!
Things I would have changed: Nothing.
What others should know: Trigger guard and stock mounting screws were all loose, as received. Be sure to check for tightness before use! Owner of RWS Diana .177, Webley Hurricane .177.
